Section 38.54
On receipt by the clerk, copies of the application for a license under this division shall be forwarded to the chief of police, the state fire marshal and such other appropriate public officials as the clerk deems necessary. Such officers and officials shall review and investigate matters relevant to the application, and within 20 days of receipt thereof shall report their findings and recommendations to the council.
