1. Call to Order

Supervisor Sajdak called the meeting to order with the pledge of allegiance at 6:30 PM.

• Attended Standish Area Fire Authority meeting
• Attended Township yearly road commission meeting
• Acting as Board of Review Secretary for March BOR meetings
• Submitted paperwork for Bergman Grant
• Signed Amendment for PA 53 grant through EGLE
• Received and approved draft Certificate of Coverage for NPDES Permit
• Worked on 2026 - 2027 budget

CLERK'S REPORT

• Computer Election training
• Cemetery tree cutting has started
• Three funerals
• Michigan Finance Authority Revolving Fund payment $54,952.39 must be wired by 3/25/26 for payment due 4/1/2026.
• Reached out to Design Co. to replace cemetery map that was wrong.
• Made announcement looking for election workers

TRESURER'S REPORT

• All tax rolls were turned over to the county on March 3rd. There were 280 parcels that were unpaid - totaling $264,465.78
• Received check from the State for Constitutional Revenue Sharing for $31,421.00

TRUSTEE CARDINAL'S REPORT

• Four Hall rentals in February
• One rental in March
• Week of 3/16-20 rented out for training

  • Motion to hire APM mosquito control and to spend $66,050.00 to provide services to Standish Township in 2026 made by Cardinal and seconded by Jennings

  • Motion to have a policy to provide meeting packets and information for meetings by Friday prior to the meeting. Agenda items and related information to be submitted by Tuesday prior to allow time to assemble agendas and packets made by Cardinal and seconded by Proulx.

• Engineering Contract Amendment and Soil Borings
  • Motion to allow the supervisor to sign the Engineering Contract Amendment with Fleis & VandenBrink and to hire Intertek PSI to perform the soil borings at the lagoon site for an estimated cost of $12,350 made by Cardinal and seconded by Jennings.

• White's Beach Water and Sewer Update
  • Watermain Update

    Testing on the remaining watermain will begin this week. Continuing to work through process of Bergman Grant to be used for water connections.

  • Sewer Update

    We have received the draft NDPES permit and have reviewed it. It will go into EGLE two-week public notice. Sewer design will begin this month.

  • Site Update

    Final Electrical, booster pumps and chem feed installation will begin once the watermain has been tested.

• Gushow/Lopez property special use permit
  • Motion to accept the recommendation of the Planning Commission and its requirements and approve special use permit for Craig Gushow/Ralph Lopez property for natural resource extraction based on meeting the standards in Section 6.7 and 6.12 of the Standish Township Zoning Ordinance made by Cardinal and seconded by Jennings.

8. Public Comment

The purpose of the public comment period is for members of the public to inform the governing body of their views. Public Comment was held.
